Thousand Islands KPKP Distributes Assistance to Facilitate Fishermen Production

Thousand Islands Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency distributed Fishermen Business Production Facility Assistance (BSPUN) from Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry. The assistance was handed over to 7 fisherman collective business groups (KUBs) under Thousand Islands KPKP Sub-agency in two urban villages of South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

We hope it can support them to catch more fish

Thousand Islands KPKP Sub-agency Head, Devi Riana Sumanthi explained, 4 of 7 KUBs that received BSPUN are from Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, namely KUB Samudra Bahari, KUB Julung-julung, KUB Talang-talang and KUB Mutiara.   

"BSPUN is also handed over to 3 KUBs in Lancang Island, namely KUB Bintang Laut, KUB Mutiara Laut and KUB Sekar Wangi Rohadis," she added, Thursday (12/3).

Fishermen in Thousand Islands Trained About Product Marketing

According to her, KUBs received assistance in form of freezer to store fish they catch thus it can remain fresh.

"We hope it can support them to catch more fish," she closed.
